Hoping. Wishing. Wanting.

...and wanting some more.

overcast

"My Bestfriend's Wedding".
It’s definitely one movie I wouldn't get tired of watching.
Just timeless.
We all know how the story goes so I'll spare you the synopsis.

With lines like "I love you. I've loved you for nine years, I've just been too arrogant and scared to realize it, and...well, now I'm just scared. So, I realize this comes at a very inopportune time but I really have this gigantic favor to ask of you. Choose me. Marry me. Let me make you happy.", and "if you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud. Otherwise the moment just...passes you by.", how can you not fall in love with this movie?

As entertaining as it is though, it’s honestly heartbreaking as well.
It reminded me of the feeling of wishing for something you know you may never call your own; of hoping for something to happen that may never will; and wanting someone you now you may never be with (again).

Wanting something so much but knowing you can't have it.
Nothing aches more than that.
I should know.

i like that song too, it reminds me of this song by Dusty Springfield - Wishing And Hoping

Wishing and hoping and
thinking and praying,
planning and dreaming
each night of his charms
that won't get you into his arms,
so if you're looking to find love
you can share, all you gotta do,
is hold him and kiss him, and love him
and show him that you care
